Using technology and feedback strategies to enable differentiated teaching with Andreas Molander
Language teachers spend approximately 8-10 hours on marking papers every week. More often than not the outcome is at best limited, and teachers rarely have the time to take individual students’ proficiency levels into consideration. This presentation will demonstrate how the usage of simple ICT tools can dramatically reduce the hours spent marking, intensify the learning process, and allow teachers to use feedback to differentiate between their students according to the students’ individual needs. Course participants will be given free access for one year to the program: LanguageCorrector.

I am an English teacher who loathes marking papers. Endless hours with a pen as my only companion, and desperate sessions where students ignored the comments that I’d wasted my energy on made me think that there had to be better ways of doing it. The result was LangCorr – short for Language Correction. LangCorr is an organization that takes all the things that I don’t like about being a teacher and makes them meaningful, and thus it allows me to do the things I’m passionate about: namely spending time with my students and ensuring that they develop their skills.
